Rosalba is a native to Chiapas, but immigrated to the U.S. as a teen after a rough childhood. She worked her way up to a manager at a local McDonalds, barely being able to speak much english. She has since flourished, and returned to her native community to help facilitate bringing coffee from the Bella Vista Women's Coop directly to California. First importing through a larger import partner, then through her own export/import company Mayan Harvest, the first women to own an export company in Mexico.
